I say that with the utmost respect.  But James Patterson is an honest-to-God, FML, WTF, OMFG, ZOMG troll.  If you have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, read the Max Ride series.  You will understand.  The biggest troll ending I have ever had the displeasure of reading.  I wanted to smack the poor old guy in the face quite hard.

But Fang and Max end up together, yay!  Max x Dylan need to die in a pit, preferably slowly, preferably impaled on spikes.  Dylan is a complete jerk-ass bitch.  His only relevance to the plot was pointless love triangle, basically.  And the ending was both really good and complete suck at the same time.  The flock (including Dylan = no me gusta) survives, the rest of the world, not so much.  I won't spoil anything else, but yeah.  I was so mad.  I spent years of my life waiting and being a fan of this series.  Whatever.  God.
